Sickness Can't Win

The Holy Spirit coming into the body of a sick person comes as a living, creative, forceful power. It is the Creation of life in them that drives out the disease. Believe in Him, trust Him to take care of your needs and you will have total wellness.

It is not how long our prayers are, but believing God's Word from deep within our hearts and mind and accepting nothing less than total dependance that He is true to His Word.

Those who teach that day of miracles is past, teach the most disastrous lie that was ever told. Such lies destroy the faith of the spiritually immature and have robbed Christianity of it's power to demonstrate itself. That lie has cost as many lives as war.

Brett Favre and the Vikes

First quarter and Brett and the Vikes looking good. I hope this is a great marriage, the great Brett hopefully makes the Vikes great and takes them all the way. Boy it's going to be some couple of games when the Blue meets the Green and Gold.

Personally, I have enjoyed Brett and his childlike enthusiasm for the game. He has been something and given us much to feel good about in Wisconsin and Packerland. Now he is 4 hours west and I still enjoy him to the fullest.

He is a great sportsman, has a great family, and been a credit to the game. Sure the situation in Green Bay could have been handled better; on both sides, but the Packers shunned him like he did nothing, they could have displayed more compassion and integrity for one of great the heros of Wisconsin.

He Paid the Big Price

Do realize that even though you may still be of the world, Jesus paid the price for your sins in the past, now, and ones you haven't even committed yet. Wow that's something. And He loves you just as much as He does any single human being. Your sins are forgiven right now, all of them.

And he paid such a heavy burden, he took all of the world's sins, all of them so that you wouldn't have to pay for yours. When He left this earth because He bore our sins, sicknesses, and the beating that He took on the cross, He was not recognizable as a human. His own mother did not recognize Him.

Isn't this the type of person you want covering your back. One you can count on, one who keeps His word. He has done so much for me, I can't begin to tell you how much. It's a hundred times a thousand more than I could do for me. Blessings.

Serious Fires Loom in L.A.

Serious fires that threaten tens of thousands of homes are burning on the edge of L.A.; it's a terrible tragedy these people are experiencing. The state is broke and now it's on fire. What next.

People are moving out to places that are cheaper and where they can get work and live in a greater degree of safety from the blood thirsty gangs.

We need to pray for the folks in California. And we need to support them with our aid. We need to do it now.

California was once a place where people dreamed of living. Not anymore; they can't wait to get out. Just like Florida and Las Vegas. Nope, now days they want the life of the more quieter, less threatening areas. They want peace and safety. Living on the edge is not what is was cracked up to be. Living on the edge means that you will probably fall off.

Ted Kennedy----The Best and the Worst

Edward M. Kennedy is gone. It's amazing, he was the one back in the old days that people thought was the black sheep of the family-----and he probably was----back then.

He was once a drunk, a womanizer, and a liberal. Naturally he was liberal. He was liberal with his morals and his time devoted to partying------back then.

But now, he's gone but he has been a changed man. I give a lot of credit to his wife whom I think he loved very much and the fact that the old boy couldn't keep up the wild partying. He also realized that he had a responsibility to his nation and to his family; and to God.

Teddy will be remembered as the worst and the best of the Kennedy clan who entered politics. I didn't agree with all his positions, but I couldn't argue that he put his heart into it. Teddy you did good. You accomplished much and you worked for this country. Bless you.

Cares of this World

The cares of this world, worldly cares i.e. money, investments, goods, come and get around your spirit life, and it just covers and breaks your connection with the Lord. He's still there, but do to the devils distractions our God receptors are not working as they should be and our minds are focused on other things. The Word then becomes unfruitful. Mark 4:19

False Teachers-----Oprah the Most Famous.

"For many deceivers have gone out in the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Look to yourselves that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he will greets him shares in his evil deeds." 2 John 7:11

Do not be swayed by false teaching that contradicts the Bible or claims to have some special insight. Understand that when you leave the Bible for any other doctrine, YOU HAVE LEFT GOD, as well. Hold tightly to the truth about Jesus Christ.

The world's greatest false teacher is Oprah Winfrey has an audience of millions that she is teaching new age deception like there are many ways to God, not just one; through Jesus Christ----our Lord and Savior. Make no mistake about it, Oprah is powerful and she is going to convert some people with her way of thinking. By her statements, she has personally denied the Bible as being the Truth of God and the Word of God. She takes exception to what it says, she is calling God a liar.

Real Power

Everything in the world of God that was ever possible to the Lord; Jesus Christ is likewise possible to the Christian.

Now isn't that powerful and some real food for thought. Everything that Jesus could do through God, Jesus is likewise possible to the Christian. Wow. John 14:12

Truimph

In those early centuries of Christianity, Christianity did not go into the world apologizing. It went to slay the powers of darkness and undo the works of the devil, and it lived in holy triumph. Are we living in holy triumph now, or are we living in fear and doubt? We certainly are not living in triumph, nor are our children, or our marriages. Most of us really don't know what to do.

When you and I are lost in the Son of God and the fires of Jesus burn in our hearts, as they did in His, our words will be the words of Spirit and of life. There will be no death in them, no fear in them. There will be victory in them.

There are only two ways to live; one is of the world which is complete folly-----just look around you. The other is through Jesus Christ, who defeated sin, sickness, and death. What team are you on? How's it going?

Doubts

If you have doubts, questions, and fears concerning the Bible and it's inspiration, we know that if one soul ever heard from Heaven, another soul may.

If one soul ever had an interview with God, another soul may.

If any man ever knew his sins were forgiven at any period, another man may know his sins are forgiven now.

If a man ever was healed by the power of God, then man can be healed again.

We know these things come to light more times than we can count. We have a real living God who is true to His Word. Count on it.

We are saved and we are healed, it's already done, we just have to ask Jesus into our heart to be our Lord and Savior.

Likeness of Christ

The development of the soul into the likeness and stature of Christ is the greatest element and purpose that can enter our lives. God puts it first, man ought not to put it second.

If you have put money, promotions, materials goods ahead of the above, then you have put it second at best. We spend but a short time here, but eternity somewhere else. I want to be very very sure in my eternity.

Wellness

It is not try to trust; it is not trying to get healed. It is trusting Him for it and believing Him when He says He will do it.

Healing is not a difficult matter. It does not take a bit more faith to be healed from your sickness than it does to be saved from your sins. So why be damned and why be sick??? There is no need to be either cause our ticket has already been paid for. Just believe it.

Great Leaders

No man ever successfully governed another life or lives until he was first able to govern himself.

Prov 16:32

Nothing was ever so true as this statement. Think about the great leaders, they had self control, compassion and kindness towards their people. Evil leaders were consumed by their desire for power, their own gain, and legend.

Who Rules???

God never intended that the outer man of the flesh should be the ruler of the man, but the Spirit should be the ruler of the man. Romans 8:6

In fact the Word says that the mind set on flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. Seems like a clear choice to me. Why by lead by something that leads to death, when we can be lead by the Spirit who gives us eternal life and peace.

The Old Dog

Well, today at 64 years ago, I was back in college. Things were a might bit different but it was a good experience. A little confusing getting used to the support materials on the computer. Found the teacher to be excellent and very helpful. Really looking forward to it. We will see about the old dog new tricks

It's going to be interesting observing and interacting with the kids. I am looking forward to learning about what is important to them and what they think about all that is happening.

I walked by a computer lab and saw one kid with an online poker game going on, he's either brilliant or stupid not sure which and probably won't know unless I see it again. Hope his parents aren't footing the bill.

I noticed the dress of the young women was a lot more provocative then when I last went to school. Seems that cleavage is very in.

For sure, I have a lot to learn about our youth.

Photography from the Heartland

I love to shoot pictures of natural scenes, scenes with little or no intervention of man. Things our creator made whether it be plant, tree, vista, or animal. That's when I most happy, when I am most inspired.

What I love about this one is one of the many moods of Lake Superior and the skies above it. There is a storm brewing and the sky is looking angry even though the water is still calm. It turned out to be a significant display of wind, lightning, and crashing waves. A real show.

Loneliness------The New Major Illlness

According to the secular medical community, people are getting more lonely by 300% since the 1980s. Even with the social networks such Facebook, My Space, and Twitter, people are lonely. And lonely to the point that there is a dramatic increase in heart disease especially in women. The main reason for this is the lack of meaningful conversations and expressing our deeper feelings as cited by the researchers.

Ok, that's what the secular community has said on the issue. Not only do they know the problem, but they know the answer. Wrong, the real answer is that each succeeding generation that comes along has a lesser percentage of those who have a relationship with God. God is on the decrease.

At one time way over 50% of the people had true relationships with Him. That's why He created us is to have fellowship with us. We have chosen to ignore Him or question whether or not He even exists. The latest figures indicate the present generation has a God rate of 4%.

People are choosing to carry the world's and all their problems on their own shoulders. Throughout history, the greatest, the wisest people were in fellowship with Him. But that has all changed, it's starts in the home where God for the most part has been banished, then in the schools, TV and the movies, and the government have enforced that way of life. We have thrown God out of almost everything. He is out of date and we know better (we think).

Just Your Ordinary Everyday Miracle

This is about John G. Lake and told by him.

"A few months ago I was absent from the city of Spokane, and when I returned Mrs. Lake was not at home. It was just about time to leave for my afternoon service. Just then someone came in and said, "Your secretary, Mrs. Graham, is in the throes of death and your wife is with her." So I hurried down to the place. When I got there the wife of one of my ministers met me at the door and said, "You are to late, she has gone." As I stepped in I met the minister coming out of the room. He said, "She has not breathed for a long time." But as I looked on that woman, and thought how God three years before had raised that woman out of death, after her womb, ovaries, and tubes had been removed in operations, and God had given them back to her, after which she had married and conceived; how my heart flamed. I took that woman up off the pillow, and called on God for the lightnings of heaven to blast the power of death and deliver her, and I commanded her to come back and stay, and she came back after not breathing for 23 minutes."

Why Healthy People Get Sick

The reason people become sick is the same reason that they become sinful. They surrender to the suggestion of the thing that is evil, and it takes possession of their mind (heart). Psalm 141:3-4

Sickness and disease are not from God, otherwise it would be wrong to go to the doctor or take medicine to get well. You would be going against God. NO, it's the devil who is author of sickness an disease. God absolutely wants us to live in abundantly good health to our full years.

And since he is a defeated foe. He got defeated at the cross when our Lord defeated death by rising on the third day: the only way he can get you is through your mind. He plants an idea in your mind and if you buy into it, he has got you and you're sick. He can make symptoms and your mind then says I must be coming down with a cold. It's a lot better to say, "By the power of Jesus, I command sickness and disease to be gone from me now by the authority Jesus Christ gives me."

Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word out of the mouth of God which equals we don't live by senses but by what the Word of God says. Who are you going to listen to, God or your runny nose? If you don't believe, you don't receive. You have to have faith. Without faith in His Word, we are defeated. That's why we are to read the Word, and that's why we are teach our children.

The devil would love for us to believe that we are the defeated ones. Well, if we try to lick him on our own, then we will lose. But, if we use Jesus, then the devil loses, cause he is no match for our Lord and Savior. Period!!!!!!

Do Not Love the World

I was reading 1 John 2:15-17 which says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world----the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-----is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."

Many new Christians may not understand what is meant in this context by world, or worldly. The world does not refer to the physical creation, but to the sphere of evil operating in our world under the dominion of Satan.

Often world is used to indicate people of this world who are said to lie in wickedness. These people mainly pursue and cherish the things of this world. World may also denote the fleeting character of life's riches and pleasures and the folly of making them of central importance in one's life. "Will a person gain anything if he wins the whole world, but loses his life." Matt.16:26

Jesus wants His followers to live in the world to serve and to witness but not to get caught up in the godless pleasures and perversities of life.

1 John 4:4 says, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." That which fundamentally distinguishes the people of the world and the people of God is their attitudes toward Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is greater than Satan and true believers may overcome deceiving teachers.

Philosophically Speaking

Various philosophies have been presented by many who appear to be brilliant and profound minds. They have intellectualized the way man acts, thinks, reacts, loves, hates and relates. They have even intellectualized the way God operates.

But, Jesus Christ came to impart life. He also imparted the greatest wisdom the world has ever known for it was wisdom from the Father who thinks in His own way and speaks in His own way. It is virtually impossible to put Him in a box. His ways are not our ways and His words are not our words.

Jesus whole mission was that He would bring the way to the purest, most loving, wisest, and most fulfilling way of life------the best of everything. And those who walk with Him with total passion will experience His greatness. He was the greatest king yet the greatest servant (here is a clue).

The great students of knowledge and wisdom think they know the answers to every mystery but are limited to the natural realm of thought. What is always very sad for such deep thinkers is to learn they really don't know after all. Just think of all the self help books that have been written. Can you remember one great one that really worked. Not one, no not one-------I will bet.

Upon the realization of their shortcomings is when they usually turn to Him. When their limitations become apparent and haunting. There is nothing worse for a great thinker than to find out that he is wrong.

The great thinker reacts to what he can sense; what he can reason. Jesus operates in the supernatural. We don't know to even begin to go there until we know Him.

Do you know, really know? Jesus does.

I always thought I had all the answers to everything I needed to know. I thought I knew how people think, how the world system worked, how to make money, how to be healthy, and how to be happy.

I learned that I didn't know boo.

I remember in the 70's there was a book called "Looking Out For Number One," by Robert J. Ringer. The premise was take care of yourself, go after what makes you happy and too bad for the next guy. This book quickly shot up the charts cause it appealed to our carnal natures which is all about us and outdoing the other person. It is completely opposed to the Word which puts total emphasis on serving others. It hung around for a couple of years but then faded into obscurity. Ringer was only 180 degrees off. Of course, I had the book.

So dear brothers and sisters, there is a better way------His way. If you really want a mind provoking, life changing, healthy ride; read His Word.

I Do Photography

I shoot landscapes, all natural subjects; things that show more God then man. I also like to photo old barns, and really love to shoot my dogs. The little hams.

I consider it a gift from God because before as a drunk and pot head I couldn't shoot a lick, but as He cleaned me up and took away the need to do those stupid things, I learned I could shoot a bit.

My wife was wowed, me I was cautious. Wondering where this new art skill came from. Then He said to me, "now who do you think gave it to you, who gives you everything." Silly me.

Who Is In Charge?

Everything that Jesus did was the will and the Word of the Father. So everything the Christian does, if he is obedient, should be the will and word of Jesus Christ.

Observation demonstrates that the really great in God who bless mankind are those who live in absolute accordance with the teachings of Jesus.

Every time I write a post about obedience or doing the will of Jesus, I realize how short I am and how far I have to go. I try to live in obedience, but then I get my feelings hurt, or I get mad, or I do some other carnal thing. By writing, it really makes me think of my own inadequacies.

The good news is Jesus paid the price for our transgressions-----past, present, and future. Our sicknesses too. Isn't that something, we are already forgiven for sins we haven't even committed yet? He paid the for our sins at the cross.

The First Principle

Obedience to the Word of God is the first principle upon which relationship with God is established. Matthew 12:50

You do not have to pump faith into a when his sin is taken away and his disobedience is gone, bless God.

Why Am I Sick?

Healing in any department of the nature, whether spirit, soul or body, is but a means to an end. The object of healing is health, abiding health of the body, soul, and spirit. Healing of the whole being. The healing of the spirit unites the spirit of man to God forever. The healing of the soul corrects psychic disorder and brings the soul processes into harmony with the mind of God. And the healing of the body completes the union of man with God when the Holy Spirit possesses all.

I want to tell you, when you begin to analyze the subject of sickness, you will discover that usually the difficulty is that there is sin behind it. Not necessarily that there is an act of sin or some personal sin, but more likely the laziness of our soul, or the inactivity of our spirit, or neglect of God's Word, or neglect of faith and love of prayer. These are the things that usually underlie and generate difficulties in men's lives.

Why Are We Even Here

"His purpose in the creation of mankind was to develop an association on His own plane. Otherwise God would have been eternally living with babies and imbeciles. Genesis 1:26"

Here's another one I like because through Him we can't be conquered or broken.

"Other souls may shatter on the rocks: other souls may wither in disappointment, but the lives that have been planted in that spirit of divine fidelity to Him are unconquerable."

We are going to have ups and we are going to have downs. We are going win some and lose some but no man or woman can conquer us or break us if we have our faith firmly planted in Him. I just love that, and I love knowing that I can't be broken as long as I stick with Him. Jeremiah 17:8

Who Are You Really???

The final test of the Spirit, and the only test of the Spirit Jesus ever gave is the ultimate and final test. He said, "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns and figs of thistles."

Even so every good man shall bring forth good fruit. Simply said, he will do good things. He say good things, he will think good things. He will think of others before he thinks of himself. He will help those in need. He will give freely of what he has; he will give shelter to those in the cold. He will give food to the hungry. He has a heart of good.

A corrupt man will bring forth evil fruit. He will attack those who attack him with vengence, he will always try to win, he will seek money at any cost, he will never help anyone or give anything of his precious possessions for the benefit of his fellow men. He will speak poorly of people. He will be mean spirited (maybe only show it on the inside). He will lust after things that are not his. He will be filled with jealousy and envy. His heart is for himself.

"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Mathew 7:16-18,20

Which one are you?

We All Have Eternity!!!!

Yep, that's right, we all are going to live in eternity. That's the good news, we live forever. Now for the other news, the question is where do we spend eternity? We have two, and only two choices; in Heaven or in hell.

So how do I know that the above is correct? The Bible of the Living God, the father of Jesus, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob says so and He has proven Himself to me by performing His Word and being 100% truthful, and the wisest most loving person ever. He is so wise, I can't even explain His great wisdom other than to say it's so different from our intellect that we can't begin to understand it until we begin to understand Him. He says, "a fool is a person who thinks they are wise."

So what difference is there between Heaven and hell? Hell is so bad, it's a zillion times worse than your worst day ever----everyday, there is no escaping it even for a minute. You remember everything you ever wanted to forget-----everyday, all the time. And it gets even worse, you are in constant torment with no peace, have you ever been through torment? Not fun, but this is worse. No person would ever pick hell. They may play Russian roulette, but they would not pick hell. It's your worst nightmare, the very worst. Look it up in the Bible.

So what is Heaven like? It's absolutely wonderful. You are the best you have ever been. You know peace, love, joy, satisfaction, tranquility, and no lack of anything you need forever. You have no torment, no sickness. It is the best place ever, second place is not even close. There is no comparison. The streets are paved with pure gold and we all live the most fruitful lives imaginable.

How do I get there (Heaven)? It's easy. Just make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior and let Him start to remake you into His own wonderful image. You might think that sounds boring and not fun. But, let me tell you. He did that for me. He got rid of drugs, alcohol, lies, cheating, and every other addiction that I had. And I had enough of those where as I really didn't even know who I was. Now I have peace in my life, I love other people, and am happy for the first time in my life.

At one time, I had it all, so I thought. I had money, cars, clothes, trophy wife, kids, great house-----and yet I was still empty, I was still afraid. Money can't buy you happiness, and material things don't give you peace. I did my best to fill the holes with alcohol, drugs, adulterous affairs and materials possessions. I even moved to an island to find peace. It wasn't there.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I tell you the truth. Dear brothers and sisters, do not take these words lightly----please. If I was only 10% right about what I said, would you want to chance it. What if I was 25% right about Heaven and hell? Would you give Jesus consideration?

Well, I will tell you that I think I am 100% right, so you take it from there. God bless.

The Primary Desire

The spiritual action that takes place within the nature of man, that strong desire for God causes everything else, perhaps unconsciously to himself, to become secondary.

Tiger Woods-----First Big Choke???

Tiger Woods has just demonstrated that the mind rules the body as he did what we all have done from time to time; he choked. Of course his choke was way more visible then any of mine---about a 1/2 billion saw his, maybe ten people have seen one of mine.

What about the Nicklaus record? Well he still might do it, but it now becomes a bit harder. Once your mind starts getting in the way it seems that it keeps on doing this. At one time everyone including Tiger thought he was invincible, now we know that is not true.

Not only did Tiger choke, but Yang won the tournament. The man was hard as steel and fearless. He was destined. Hats off to him. He will be a national hero in his country if not a hero here for standing toe to toe to one of golf's legends.

What the future holds in all of this, well only a fool would predict. We will just have to watch it unfold. We will know inside of five years if not sooner.

The Key to Power

The man with Christ in him, the Holy Ghost, is greater than any other power in the world, the universe, the cosmos, everywhere. All other natural (man's) and evil powers are less than God's: even Satan himself is a lesser power----------actually Satan is not even in the same realm of power that Christ is. Man with God in him is greater than Satan. 1 John 4:4

Now by looking at this country where we have thrown the Godhead out of everything; the schools, the government, the courts, the public buildings, the movies, the arts, the textbooks, and some churches----you would think that God is out of date and really not quite with it anymore and that man in his infinite wisdom has the better answers. We don't need God anymore, we have all the answers man has said and the courts agree.

It's amazing to me that the courts in the matter of abortion have taken it upon itself to decide the issue of life. It says in the first paragraph that all other powers are less than God's, but we as a society have disregarded that. My comment is "Pride before the fall."

Man has even decided that God is way off base on civil unions; we know best, if two people love each other, it doesn't matter that they are both of the same sex, then they can get married in some states. For one, Iowa of all places. It doesn't matter that God through His Word, the Bible says different.

We are really quite impressed with ourselves it would appear. Quite often, when one group of people reach such an impression of themselves, it's time for an adjustment.
